Doberman

The Doberman Pinscher or Doberman is one of the most powerful dogs among all the breeds. Karl Friedrich Louis Doberman first bred it in the year 1890 in Apolda (Germany). When Louis Doberman died, Germans in his honor named the breed as ‘Doberman Pinscher’, where the word Pinscher means ‘terrier’. However, soon ‘Pinscher’ was dropped from its name, as the Doberman has no resemblance to a terrier.

The average life span of a Doberman is from 12 years to 14 years. The average height is 26 inches to 28 inches with an average weight of 70 pounds to 100 pounds.

The Doberman breed is intelligent, alert and loyal. Due to its appearance and temperament, it is among the most preferred pet dog for families looking for a guard dog. A Doberman in appearance is medium sized with athletic build. They are just right as a pet for kids.

They are generally black, black with tan markings, blue-gray, red, fawn and white in color.  A Doberman is one of the best home dogs and you can opt for them as pets for kids of all age groups. It is capable of amazing you with its utmost intelligence. It is a great companion, very protective and loyal to the owners and their families.

However, it is important to provide adequate pet care services so that it stays healthy and happy. There are professional dog walkers who look forward for working with dogs of this breed and take them for regular dog walking sessions. If you go for a vacation, you can also opt for dog sitters, who would not only act as house-sitters but also take care of the dog sitting tasks, such as feeding and cleaning.

To get useful dog-sitters, you can post online pet jobs and seek applications from people who want to work with animals. There are also options to seek dog walking job applicants who would take your doberman out for a walk each day. Interested dog sitters include international students who study in Australia and opt for free accommodation at the dog owner's house. In return, they perform animal care tasks.
